The client is one of Ontario’s major providers of acute health care that provides specialized nursing jobs services in their communities situated within the beautiful region of the Niagara. It is composed of six hospital sites and an ambulatory care centre which serves more than 400,000 residents across 12 municipalities that comprises the Niagara region. Nursing Jobs Summary
The chosen registered nurses for the nursing jobs will be working to promote nursing excellence, quality patient/client centered care, and high professional standards. The registered nurses will also be in charge with the assessment, nursing diagnosis, integrated care plan development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. The main objective of the chosen registered nurses is to provide safe and competent care through the use of acquired nursing jobs knowledge, the technical side of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism, and respect.
To qualify for the nursing jobs for registered nurses, all nursing jobs applicants must possess the following:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Two (2) years related clinical experience in the past six (6) years in a medical environment.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in physical assessment (Physical Assessment Course preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in IV Therapy Initiation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill with CVADs, PCA CADD pumps, VAC therapy and enteral feeds preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop an integrated plan of care.
- Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting nursing practice standards as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and related professional associations.
- Applies NHS values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service.
- Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving.
- Working knowledge of computers.
